Laxmi E-Mobility, a subsidiary of Nepal’s Laxmi Group, launched the Friday EV electric SUV under China’s Forthing brand at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
The Friday EV marks Forthing’s entry into the Nepali market. The model, unveiled on the opening day of the auto exhibition at Bhrikutimandap, is available in two variants — Luxury and Exclusive — priced at Rs 5.096 million and Rs 5.696 million, respectively.
As part of a limited-time offer during the expo, both variants are available with a discount of Rs 200,000 and come with one year of complimentary insurance.
Equipped with a 64.4 kWh battery and a 99 kW motor, the vehicle offers a driving range of over 400 km. The Exclusive variant includes features such as an electric tailgate and massage seats.
Laxmi Group, established in 1973, distributes various automotive brands in Nepal, including Hyundai, BMW, Kaiyi, SML ISUZU, Karry, and recently Forthing. In May 2024, the group opened Nepal’s first four-wheeler assembly plant for Hyundai vehicles in Ramgram, Parasi.
