Mahindra has introduced its BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs in the Nepalese market through Agni Incorporated Private Limited, the company’s official distributor in Nepal.
The two models were unveiled at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 on Wednesday. Agni Incorporated said two variants of the BE 6 and three variants of the XEV 9e will be available locally.
The BE 6 is priced at Rs 5.7 million, while the XEV 9e costs Rs 6.9 million, both significantly lower than their previous customs valuation, the company said.
Popular in India, these electric SUVs are expected to attract buyers in Nepal as well. Both vehicles feature a 99 kW motor, with one XEV 9e variant offering a more powerful 199 kW motor. Battery options include 59 kWh and 79 kWh packs.
Using a 175 kW DC fast charger, the batteries can be charged from 20% to 80% in 20 minutes, which Mahindra describes as a super fast charge. The range per full charge varies between 450 and 500 kilometers depending on the variant.
The 59 kWh battery models deliver 231 horsepower, while the 79 kWh versions offer 286 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. Both SUVs can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
Mahindra claims the BE 6 offers a range of up to 682 kilometers on a single charge, while the XEV 9e can travel up to 656 kilometers. Both vehicles come with a lifetime battery warranty.
