Continuous rainfall across the country has triggered floods and landslides, resulting in the complete obstruction of seven national highways, while one-way traffic has resumed on 13 others.
According to the Police Headquarters, major roads affected by the obstruction include the Koshi Highway in Sankhuwasabha; the Pasang Lhamu Highway in Rasuwa; and the Arniko Highway in Sindhupalchowk.
Additionally, the Kaligandaki Corridor in Myagdi; the Ridi-Tamghas Road in Gulmi; and the Jajarkot-Dolpa-Bheri Corridor section in Rukum West, have also been completely blocked, police said.
Meanwhile, one-way traffic has resumed along the Tokha-Nuwakot road section in Kathmandu; the Mid-Hill Highway in Terhathum; the East-West Highway in Mahottari; the Galchi-Trishuli road in Rasuwa; the Kaligandaki Corridor and Mid-Hill Highway in Baglung; the Kaligandaki Corridor in East Nawalparasi; the Beni-Jomsom road in Mustang; and the Prithvi Highway in Tanahun.
Similarly, the Sandhikharka-Gorusinge road in Arghakhanchi; the Rapti Highway in Dang; the Shahid Highway in Rolpa; and the Dailekh-Surkhet road section are also operating with one-way traffic, according to the police. -- RSS
