Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu Appoints Souvik Dutta as Head Chef

Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu has appointed Souvik Dutta as its new Head Chef, bringing more than 14 years of culinary expertise, leadership experience, and creative flair to the hotel’s dining operations.

Originally from Kolkata, India, Dutta is a Hotel Management graduate who began his career with Hyatt in 2011. Over the years, he has advanced through a series of key roles, most recently serving as Executive Sous Chef at Hyatt Regency Kolkata.

Dutta is credited with launching a chef mentorship programme aimed at empowering junior kitchen staff through skills training and leadership development.

Outside work, he is passionate about exploring diverse food cultures, reading about global cuisines, food photography, and sports. He also aspires to open his own restaurant in the future.
