Chinese automaker Geely has launched its EX5 electric SUV in Nepal, offering two trims, EX5 Pro and EX5 Max, through local distributor LRR Motors.
Built on Geely’s GEEA 3.0 architecture, the EX5 measures 4,615 mm in length, 1,901 mm in width, 1,670 mm in height, and features a 2,750 mm wheelbase with a minimum ground clearance of 180 mm.
The EX5 Max is priced at Rs 6.49 million, reflecting a promotional discount of Rs 300,000 from its original price. The EX5 Pro is available for Rs 5.49 million also discounted by Rs 300,000, the company said.
The SUV is powered by a 160 kW electric motor delivering 320 Nm of torque, paired with a 60.22 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The EX5 Pro offers a WLTP range of 430 km, while the EX5 Max provides 425 km. Acceleration from 0–100 km/h takes 6.9 seconds for the Pro and 7.1 seconds for the Max, with kerb weights of 1,715 kg and 1,765 kg, respectively.
On the exterior, the SUV sports an aerodynamic design, 19-inch alloy wheels, and five color options. Geely has also equipped the EX5 with a full ADAS suite, underscoring its focus on safety and advanced driver-assistance technology.
Inside, the EX5 features a 15.4-inch touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 13.8-inch windshield HUD, all integrated with the Geely Flyme Auto smart cockpit system. Other amenities include a 16-speaker premium audio system, wireless charging, and voice assistance supporting over 200 commands.
