Nepal’s startup ecosystem is poised for a major push as Sevenledger, an accounting and inventory management platform, joins hands with Upaya, a prominent tech-driven logistics provider, to host a knowledge-sharing event on securing funds for new ventures.

The event, titled “How to Fund Your Ideas?”, will take place on August 22, at PGS Hall of Presidential Graduate School, Thapagaun, starting 11 am, according to the organisers.

Issuing a joint statement on the eve of the event, the organisers said this new initiative under the Business Scaleup Series aims to equip aspiring and growth-focused entrepreneurs with practical skills and insights for scaling their businesses.

The first event of the series under the theme “Funding Fundamentals” will feature Suman Rayamajhi, managing director and co-founder of Upaya, as the keynote speaker. Rayamajhi, recognized as one of Nepal’s leading deal makers, will share his expertise on investment strategies, valuation, equity, and return on investment, the statement added.

The statement further said that Upaya recently raised Rs 280 million (USD 2 million) in a Series C funding round led by Dolma Impact Fund II, underscoring its strong fundraising record.

According to the organisers, the Business Scaleup Series will comprise a sequence of events featuring prominent entrepreneurs and executives from Nepal’s leading industries. The series aims to foster candid dialogue and deliver real-world business insights including global business trends to help entrepreneurs and future leaders thrive.

Organizers said the session will provide participants with a practical understanding of investor pitching and financial realities while offering opportunities to network with professionals, students, and business leaders.

Registration for the event is free, and interested individuals can secure their seats through the official websites of Sevenledger and Upaya.
