The fourth editions of the “Nepal Electric Power and Lights” and “Nepal Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances” expo began Friday, August 29, at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari inaugurated the three-day fair, highlighting Nepal’s potential in electricity export and electrical goods production. He noted that the participation of leading national and international brands signals growing opportunities in the country’s energy sector.
The event, jointly organised by Media Space Solutions, Futurex Trade Fair & Events, and Exhibition & Trade Services India, is supported by the Nepal Electricity Authority and the Nepal Solar Energy Producers Association.
With more than 100 stalls, the expo showcases a wide range of products—transmission and distribution equipment, smart switches, LED lighting, batteries, charging stations, wires, cables, conductors, and advanced home and office appliances.
Organisers said the exhibition serves as a platform for entrepreneurs from electricity, electronics, IT, communications, and alternative energy sectors to connect, exchange ideas, and explore innovations. It also seeks to raise awareness about efficient and sustainable energy use among consumers.
