NOC Cuts Diesel, Kerosene and Aviation Fuel Prices

Petrol and LPG rates left unchanged

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the prices of diesel, kerosene, and aviation fuel, effective Monday, September 1, while keeping petrol and cooking gas rates unchanged.

According to a statement released late Sunday, the retail prices of diesel and kerosene have been cut by Rs 4 per litre each. The price of aviation fuel for the domestic sector has been lowered by Rs 1 per litre. For international sector, the rate has been reduced by $7 per kilolitre in Kathmandu and fixed at the breakeven point in Pokhara and Bhairahawa.

After the adjustment, diesel and kerosene now cost Rs 142.5 per litre in the first category, Rs 144 in the second, and Rs 145 in the third.

The price of domestic aviation fuel has been set at Rs 127 per litre, while international carriers will now pay $966 per kilolitre at Kathmandu.

NOC classifies areas within 15 km of its depots in Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj as the first category; Surkhet and Dang as the second category; and Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal as the third.
