Defying Curfews, Protesters Take to the Streets

Outraged by Monday’s deadly crackdown on Gen-Z-led protests, young demonstrators have poured into the streets across Nepal, openly defying curfews and prohibitory orders issued by district administrations.

Viral photos and videos on social media capture scenes of arson and vandalism, with protesters targeting government buildings and the properties of political parties and their leaders — particularly those of the CPN-UML.
