NTB Issues Advisory for Stranded Passengers at TIA

The board urges travellers to contact embassies or Tourist Police; airport remains closed until further notice

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has urged stranded passengers at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to contact their respective embassies or the Tourist Police (hotline number 1144).

The Board announced that TIA will remain closed until further notice.

The Board has also appealed to tourists, travellers, and tourism stakeholders to follow precautions amid ongoing protests and prohibitory orders enforced in many cities across the country.

It has advised tourists not to venture outside, to avoid large crowds, and to comply with the instructions of local authorities.
