October 5: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh Bank, the central bank of Bangladesh on exchange of supervisory information.
Issuing a press statement, the NRB informed that the MoU was signed by NRB's Executive Director of Supervision Department, Narayan Prasad Paudel and Bangladesh Bank's Executive Director Mohammad Saiful Islam.
NRB has entered into Memorandum of Understanding with the Bangladesh Bank in a bid to promote greater co-operation and share supervisory information, the statement further said.
Before this, NRB has already made such agreement with Reserve Bank of India, Central Bank of India and China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC), Central Bank of China.
