Gold Price Hits Record High of Rs 233,100 Per Tola

The price of gold reached an all-time high of Rs 233,100 per tola in the domestic market of Nepal on Monday, October 6, rising by Rs 2,500 from the previous day’s rate, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

The new record came a day after gold set a record high price of Rs 230,600 per tola — an increase of Rs 7,400 in a single day. Silver prices also rose by Rs 30, reaching Rs 2,960 per tola on Monday.

The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association sets daily prices in Nepal based on fluctuations in the international market. In global trading on Monday, gold was priced at USD 3,936.32 per ounce, while silver stood at USD 48.54 per ounce.

Analysts attribute the sharp rise in gold prices to its increasing appeal as a safe-haven investment amid global economic uncertainty and geopolitical tensions.
