Global IME Honoured With “Best Bank Award” by Global Finance Magazine for Second Consecutive Year

Global IME Bank has been honoured with “Best Bank Award 2025” by Global Finance magazine, marking its second consecutive win of the prestigious title.

Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal and Chief Executive Officer Surendra Raj Regmi received the award during a ceremony held in the United States on Saturday.

According to the bank, the recognition was based on a range of performance indicators, including reliability, financial resource mobilisation, network expansion, strategic partnerships, innovation in services, and credit rating strength. 

Chairman Dhakal said the award reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to delivering quality, customer-focused financial services and expanding access to banking across Nepal.

Global Finance Magazine annually recognises leading banks worldwide based on financial performance, innovation, and service excellence.

For its 2025 edition, the magazine honoured institutions such as HSBC (Hong Kong), State Bank of India, China Construction Bank, UOB Malaysia, City Bank (Bangladesh), and SMBC (Japan) alongside Global IME Bank in respective categories.

Global IME Bank operates over 1,000 service outlets, including 352 branches, 384 ATMs, 155 branchless banking centres, 68 extension and revenue collection counters, and three international representative offices.

Beyond domestic operations, the bank facilitates remittance services from countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, and Jordan.
