Tourist arrivals in Nepal this year has been encouraging with the total number of visitors crossing the one-million mark in the first 11 months of 2025.
According to data released by the Nepal Tourism Board on Monday, a total of 1,060,269 tourists visited the country between January and November this year. Of them, 116,553 tourists arrived in November alone.
The data show that tourist inflow increased in November compared to the previous month. India accounted for the highest number of visitors during the review month, with 18,995 visitors followed by the United States with 11,254 visitors, while 7,871 tourists arrived from China. Likewise, 7,189 tourists visited Nepal from the United Kingdom, 5,653 from Bangladesh, 5,393 from Australia, 4,831 from Sri Lanka, 4,484 from Myanmar, 4,211 from France, and 4,134 from Germany.
On a regional basis, 30,870 tourists arrived from South Asian countries, followed by 28,613 from other Asian countries, 13,678 from the Americas, 5,891 from Europe, 1,802 from the Middle East, 412 from Africa, and 6,269 from other regions. – With inputs from RSS
