One person was killed and six others injured after a boiler exploded at Jyoti Distillery in Katahariya Municipality-9, Rautahat, on Saturday morning, December 27.
The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Laxman Yadav of Baluwa, in the same municipality. He died on the spot, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bishnu Basyal of the District Police Office, Rautahat.
All six injured workers were rushed to Birgunj for treatment. Police said they sustained burn injuries to their hands and feet.
The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
