Prices of gold and silver continued to rise in the domestic market on Sunday, extending the upward trend seen over the past several days.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold climbed to Rs 270,600 per tola (11.66 grams), while silver rose to Rs 4,835 per tola. Prices of both precious metals have reached record highs.
Market analysts attributed the increase to the appreciation of the US dollar.
In the international market, gold traded at USD 4,530 per ounce, while silver stood at USD 78 per ounce, according to international media reports. -- RSS
