Gold, Silver Prices Drop After Recent Surge

Prices of gold and silver declined in the domestic market on Wednesday after registering a continuous rise over the past few days.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold has been fixed at Rs 261,000 per tola (11.66 grams), while silver is being traded at Rs 4,470 per tola on Wednesday, December 31.

On Tuesday, hallmark gold was traded at Rs 262,100 per tola, while silver stood at Rs 4,590 per tola.

The Federation said gold had climbed to a record high of Rs 270,600 per tola on December 28, while silver also reached an all-time high of Rs 4,835 per tola on the same day.
