Sales of Apple products in Nepal appear to have increased sharply in the last fiscal year, according to data released by Infomerics Credit Rating Agency.
The agency’s report shows that Generation Next Communications Pvt Ltd—the authorised dealer of Apple and Dell products in Nepal—posted a 54 percent increase in operating revenue in fiscal year 2024/25, reaching Rs 6.59 billion. The company’s revenue stood at Rs 4.29 billion in the previous fiscal year (FY 2023/24).
Apple brand products accounted for 97 percent of Generation Next’s operating revenue in the last fiscal year, indicating a significant surge in the sales of Apple devices. In fiscal year 2022/23, Apple products contributed about 50 percent of the company’s total revenue, according to the credit rating agency.
Generation Next Communications is promoted by the Bhimsaria Group. The company has appointed 50 authorised resellers across the country for the distribution of Apple products, while it has 150 dealers for Dell products.
Meanwhile, data from the Department of Customs show that Nepal imported 2.18 million smartphones in fiscal year 2024/25, with a total import value exceeding Rs 37.93 billion.
