Indian Chain Lords Hotels to Manage CBC Hotel in Bharatpur

Management of Hotel CBC, operated by Chitwan Business Complex in Bharatpur, has been handed over to Indian chain Lords Hotels and Resorts following an agreement signed between the two companies on Monday evening.

The hotel, located in Bharatpur Metropolitan City–10 opposite the airport, was developed through a partnership of leading businesspersons of the district. The management agreement was signed by CBC Executive Chairman Dinup Baral and Shailej N Teri, Associate Vice President of Lords Hotels and Resorts.

Following the agreement, the hotel has begun operations under the name Lords CBC Plaza. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Teri said the group currently manages 70 hotels in India, one in the United States, and three in Nepal, including the newly added property in Bharatpur. He said Lords had previously started hotel operations in Kathmandu and Nepalgunj, and that the Bharatpur property is the group’s 74th hotel.

Teriberry also said the group is preparing to add 15 more hotels across different countries this year. He added that as a chain hotel operator, Lords would promote the property in the international market to attract guests. The group manages hotels ranging from three-star to five-star categories and operates more than 3,000 rooms across 74 hotels, with an average annual occupancy rate of over 50 percent.

On the occasion, CBC Executive Chairman Baral said the hotel and the shopping outlet SalesBerry are operating within the same complex, spread over 107,000 square feet. The 11-storey complex, which includes two underground floors, has parking facilities on the underground levels, three floors dedicated to the shopping store, and six floors allocated to hotel operations.

Expressing confidence in the partnership, Baral said collaboration with Lords Hotels and Resorts—an internationally recognized chain operating in several countries—would contribute to the promotion of tourism and business in the region.

The hotel has 60 rooms, including one presidential suite, three suites, 10 super deluxe rooms, 15 premium rooms, and the remaining standard rooms. Facilities include a 500-capacity banquet hall, a 100-capacity conference hall, and three meeting rooms with a capacity of accommodating 30 people each.

The restaurant can serve up to 125 guests at a time, with both indoor and outdoor seating. A swimming pool is located on the top floor of the building. Following the management handover, the hotel is offering a 10 percent discount on food and a 25 percent discount on rooms. -- RSS
