Ncell has collaborated with the US Embassy in Nepal to support Creator’s Mela in three cities across Nepal. The free, in-person conference supports the growing community of content creators in the country by providing practical learning, professional exposure, and opportunities for collaboration, Ncell said Friday, January 16.

The 2026 edition of Creator’s Mela is set to begin Saturday, January 17, in Chitwan. The three-city event will then take place in Nepalgunj on January 24, and Kathmandu on January 30 and 31.

Ncell has been a partner in the Creator’s Mela since its inception in 2023. Themed ‘Vision to Venture,’ the latest edition of Creator’s Mela is focused on turning ideas into actionable skills and real opportunities.

“We are delighted to continue our collaboration with the U.S. Embassy for the Creator’s Mela, offering emerging as well as established creators an opportunity to harness their skills for creating impactful contents that matter most in this age of digital contents,” said Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Corporate Communications and Sustainability Director of Ncell. “Alongside of this event, we have also launched a video challenge where registered participants can showcase their content skills and win prize.”

Designed as a welcoming platform for emerging creators including students and early-stage creators, it supports and inspires everyone to improve their content, build credibility, and forge sustainable creative careers. The events across the three cities will also cater to youth-led activation among participants.

Mike Harker, Public Affairs Chief at US Embassy Nepal said the Creator’s Mela 2026 reflects the United States’ commitment to strengthening Nepal’s creative economy. “By enhancing knowledge, skills, and networks nationwide, we are supporting entrepreneurship and job creation. We are positioning Nepali creators not just for local influence, but for success with American business partners and in global markets, fostering deeper economic ties and shared prosperity,” he added.

Ncell Video Challenge

In alignment with the Creator’s Mela, Ncell has launched a video challenge. It has invited the registered participants of the mela to upload a 1-minute video on Instagram and TikTok on the topic: ‘How Ncell 4G makes your life easier.’

Participants must tag Ncell and use the hashtags #CreateGaraPostGara and the hashtag of their city (e.g., #Chitwan, #Nepalgunj, or #Kathmandu).

A winner from each city of the mela will be selected on the day of the event and will win a cash prize of Rs 50,000 apart from the opportunity to participate in future Ncell Foundation initiatives, added the Ncell’s statement. “Since its launch in 2023, the mela has engaged more than 5,000 creators, bringing together creators from diverse regions of the country to learn from industry practitioners, connect with peers, and engage with experts shaping the creator economy,” read the statement.

The mela will feature spotlight sessions, panel discussions, and in-depth conversations exploring the journey of the creator from content creation and storytelling to audience growth, creator identity, the shift from visibility to influence, and long-term career development.
