November 9: Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has met newly appointed Nepali Ambassadors for India and China Dip Kumar Upadhyaya and Lila Mani Poudyal on November 8. The meeting held at secretariat office of confederation was focused on implementation of economic diplomacy with India and China.
In the meeting, newly appointed Ambassador, Poudel assured his active role in a diplomatic way for the development of the country. He told the private sector to see them as corporate representatives of them. “Nepal should be able to cash-in the cheap capital and latest technology of China," he added.
Meanwhile, Upadhyaya, Nepali Ambassador for India said the entrepreneurs should alert the government officials and political leaders time and again about the benefits of the country and their own. "The entrepreneurs should march themselves for their business expansion. We play the role of coordinator only," he added.
The meeting was participated by Hari Bhakta Sharma, President of confederation, Binod Chadhary, President Emeritus, governing council of CNI, officials and members of National Development Council and entrepreneurs related to confederation where they congratulated newly appointed ambassadors and wished them for successful work-tenure.
On the occasion, President Sharma stressed the need of strategy to minimize trade deficit and increase export to India as well as to attract investment in Nepal from Indian entrepreneurs.
