Nepal’s First AI-Powered Digital Ecosystem ‘Global Diary’ Goes Live

Launch of Global Diary posted by the developers on their Facebook page.

Seeking to reduce reliance on fragmented digital platforms and foreign services, Nepali tech developers have launched “Global Diary,” an AI-powered integrated ecosystem targeting businesses, consumers and public institutions. They said the platform aims to lower marketing costs, enhance digital presence and strengthen Nepal’s position in the global digital economy.

The team unveiled the Nepal-developed platform at a press conference in Kathmandu on Wednesday, positioning it as a homegrown alternative that could enhance the country’s digital infrastructure and reduce dependence on foreign platforms.

According to the developers, Global Diary creates a secure and reliable digital space for the general public, entrepreneurs and government institutions. They said the platform enables businesses to establish a website-level digital presence, reduce marketing costs and communicate directly with customers.

By facilitating direct interaction between service providers and consumers, the platform cuts advertising and operational expenses, benefiting both parties, the developers said in a press statement.

Founder and CEO Bhagawandas Agrahari said the platform goes beyond a conventional social network, e-commerce site or job portal. “Global Diary is a complete digital ecosystem,” he said, adding that the AI-powered system helps users find verified service providers, access reviews, receive job recommendations and safeguard data privacy while preventing fraudulent activities.

Shekhar Aryal, Chairperson of Global Diary, described the platform as a matter of national pride and said it has the potential to expand Nepal’s digital footprint internationally. He urged consumers, businesses, media and government agencies to adopt the platform to drive digital growth and economic prosperity.

Dr Binod Aatreya, former Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, said the platform integrates features comparable to social media networks while connecting users to business opportunities, trade and services.

Krishna Sapkota, Director of Global Diary, said the company has targeted youth, students, job seekers, entrepreneurs, professional organizations and local service providers as key user segments.

Krishna Adhikari, Board Member of Rastriya Samachar Samiti, expressed confidence that the platform could address the need for a credible national digital platform and said journalists could also benefit from its services. – With inputs from RSS
