Celebrating Women Who Lead, Innovate, and Inspire

From national leaders to provincial trailblazers, NewBiz Business Women Summit & Awards 2026 honours women driving innovation, enterprise, and empowerment across the country

Women entrepreneurs from across Nepal were celebrated at the 6th NewBiz Business Women Summit & Awards 2026, which recognised leadership, innovation, and enterprise across national and provincial categories. 

Organised by New Business Age Limited, the programme highlights women-led businesses and showcases entrepreneurship from all seven provinces. 

In the national categories, Rosalind Tuladhar, Vice President and Founder of Rainbow Collection Nepal Pvt. Ltd., received the Best Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award, while Prarthana Saakha, Co-founder and Chief Business Development Officer of BIC Technology Pvt. Ltd., won the Woman in Tech Award. 

The Youth Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award went to Samiksha Rai, CEO and Co-founder of Pack My Lunch Pvt. Ltd., and Barsha Shrestha, Business Head at ICRA Nepal, was recognised as the Best Professional Woman. 

Shanti Chadha, Founding President of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal, received a Special Recognition for Contribution to Women’s Entrepreneurship, and the Lifetime Achievement Award in Women Entrepreneurship was conferred on Kamala Shrestha, Founder of SIAM Institute of Hair Design & Beauty Care.

The summit also honoured women entrepreneurs from all seven provinces under the Emerging Enterprising Woman of the Year Award, which recognises innovation, resilience, and business leadership. 

The recipients, each representing a different province, were Sushma Rai of Ilameli Lollipop Udyog (Koshi Province); Parbati Kumari Chaudhary of Mahila Hastakala Udyog (Madhesh Province); Sunita KC Thapa of Panchagavya Havan (Bagmati Province); Chandrakala Rana of Chandrashobha Achar Udyog (Gandaki Province); Gita Rawat of Organic Krishi Upaj Tatha Prashodhan Bajar Kendra (Lumbini Province); Gita Kumari Khadka Budha of Sambriddhi Krishi Tatha Pashupankshi Firm (Karnali Province); and Jamuna Kumari Chand of Grishma Kirana Store (Sudurpashchim Province). 

Each awardee received a cash prize of Rs 51,000. IME Life Insurance, the title sponsor of the event, provided a term life insurance policy worth Rs 1 million to each winner.

The programme was further supported by a wide range of partners, including Sipradi Trading, Salt Trading Corporation, LIC Nepal, National Life Insurance, Citizen Life Insurance, Global IME Bank, Fonepay, Machhapuchchhre Bank, Siddhartha Premier Insurance, Nabil Bank, Kajaria Tiles, NLG Insurance, Sitaram Milk, NMB Bank Limited, Muktinath Bikas Bank, Reliable Life Insurance, and Curvv EV, celebrating and strengthening the ecosystem for women entrepreneurship in Nepal.
