Voter Turnout Reaches 33.41% by 2 p.m.

More than 33 percent of registered voters had cast their ballots nationwide by 2 p.m., the Election Commission said.

A total of 6,316,215 votes had been recorded by that time, representing 33.41 percent of the electorate.

There are 18,903,689 eligible voters in this election, including 915,119 first-time voters.

Voting began at 7 a.m. and will continue until 5 p.m., with those arriving at polling centres before the deadline allowed to cast their ballots.

According to the commission, voting could not begin at one polling centre in Dolakha. However, polling is continuing in other areas despite minor disputes, Assistant Spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC told RSS.
