Government to Facilitate Company Registration from Home

November 21: People aspiring to start a company might soon be enabled to register their company, business and industry from home. The possibility of such mechanism increased with the parliament's endorsement of a proposal on review of "Company (first amendment) Bill, 2073" on November 20.  

Hridaya Ram Thani, Minister for Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation on behalf of Industry Minister submitted the proposal to the parliament. It is believed that the new mechanism proposed in the new bill will have multiplier effect on the industries and business of the country as the new bill enables businesses to register their companies through electronic mechanism. The bill also includes easy procedure to establish and dissolve the company.

The existing Act, although eases establishment of company, do not provide simple mechanism for dissolvent of the company. Thus, many of dissolved companies remain open in the book of company registrar office.
