RBB and TU in Pension Pact

December 4: Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) and Tribhuwan University have signed an agreement regarding payment of pension to retired professors and employees.

Kiran Kumar Shrestha, CEO of RBB and Dilli Ram Upreti, Registrar of TU signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisation. "More than 4,500 retired professors and employees and nearly 15,000 to be retired professors and employees of TU will be benefited by the agreement," said Dr Tirtha Khaniya, Vice Chancellor of TU. Similarly, CEO Shrestha said that the bank will be providing advance banking services besides providing the services as per the agreement.

The bank has been distributing pension to retired employees of government, NRB, Nepal Agriculture Research Council and Nepal Telecom. The bank informed of distributing Rs 20 billion worth of pension and social security allowances annually.
