December 19: Laxmi Intercontinental, the authorised distributor of Hyundai vehicles for Nepal has provided 25 cameras to District Police Office, Kaski. Issuing a press statement, the company informed of providing the cameras to Kaski police on the occasion of its anniversary.
Ganesh Bahadur Shrestha, Chairman of the company handed over the 'Dash Cam' to Regional Police Chief, Deputy Inspector General Kamal Singh Bam amid a program on December 18. The cameras will be installed in police vehicles. According to the company, the cameras can be installed in inner part of windshield or upper part of dashboard of the vehicles.
"The camera will provide proof of accidents, broken traffic rules and helps to control fraud," said Shrestha adding, "We supported cameras to police considering traffic management,"
According to Sunil Shrestha, Director of the company, the company supported the cameras to the police under its corporate social responsibility. Previously, the company had provided cameras to Kathmandu Police as well.
