SCB’s Financial Support to Tilganga

March 5: Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Nepal has supported Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology (TIO) with Rs 783,152. Joseph Silvanas, CEO of the bank handed over the cheque of support amount to Nabin Rai, Project Manager of TIO.

The bank had committed to provide Rs 100 million to TIO for expansion of its major project. The financial aid is a part of that commitment, said the bank in a press statement. The project targets to eliminate blindness by providing surgical facilities in rural and sub-urban areas. Moreover, the project targets to open eye centre in two districts and  up-to-date Bhaktapur District Eye Hospital and District Hospital, Nuwakot.
