March 13: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is issuing Treasury bills worth Rs three billion. National Loan Management Department under the central bank is issuing the 91 days and 182 days Teasury bills in order to obtain internal debt on behalf of the government. The bank is selling 91-days Treasury bills worth Rs 2.5 billion and 182 days Treasury bills worth Rs 500 million. The bank informed that the interested parties would have to submit their sealed auction trading application by 1500 hours today. The Treasury bills will be allocated on March 14. The 91 and 182 days bills will mature on June 13 and September 12 respectively.
Previously, NRB issued Rs 2.13 billion worth 91 days Treasury bills on February 12 upon which Rs 4.79 billion amount was claimed.
