Helaucha village in Bhojpur district has started getting electricity using Solar Photo Voltaic Technology (SPVT), a modern and environmentally clean source of electricity. The project was funded and implemented with assistance from the Government of India. Under the scheme, 155 houses have benefited. Each household has received a solar panel, maintenance free battery and home lighting system of 75 watts. The project cost Rs 7.39 million. Colonel Ajay Pasbola, Defence Attache with the Embassy of India in Nepal, formally inaugurated and handed over the project to Users Committee on 16 November.
