6th International Trade Fair Kicks Off in the Capital

March 16: The 6th International Trade Fair, organized by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has kicked off in the capital today.  Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal inaugurated the fair amid a program at Bhrikutimandap. The fair will run til March 20.

In the program, PM Dahal urges domestic and foreign investors to invest in Nepal given that the country has gradually become investment friendly after clearing up political confusion.

Moreover, he added that the government is ready to work together with private sector to achieve the economic progress in the country.

Similarly, Pashupati Muraraka, President of FNCCI said that the fair will be a platform for buyers, sellers and manufacturers.

The fair has 340 domestic and foreign stalls. Countries including China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Thailand is participating in the fair. The fair have handicrafts, tourism, information technology, agricultural products, energy, construction, education, medicines and iron and steel stalls. Similarly, the fair also includes various stalls of readymade dresses, leather products, new technology and equipments, food items, furniture, fashion wear, home decor and service sectors.
