Machhapuchchhre Bank Partners with Sakchyam

April 11: Machhapuchchhre Bank and Ukaid Sakchyam Access to Finance have entered into an agreement. The two institutions signed the agreement on April 10 regarding providing access of banking services in seven various districts of Nepal.

Neeraj Kumar Shrestha, CEO of Machhapuchchhre Bank and Baljit Bohra, Team Head of Sakchyam signed the agreement amid a program. Under the project, the bank will start 20 branchless banking units in Banke, Dang, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Rupandehi, Surkhet and Dhading.

“Machhapuchchhre Bank aims to serve above 9,000 people with banking services in the three years period of the project,” said CEO Shrestha. “Moreover, the bank will also conduct financial literacy programs,” he added.
