Kailash Bank Appoints Poudel as Chairman

April 19: Kailash Bikas Bank has appointed Narayan Prasad Poudel as the chairman of the bank. Rajendra Giri who was appointed by the general meeting as the chairman of the bank for the third tenure in Poush was dismissed by the court. Earlier, the shareholders of the other institutions that were merged with the bank filed a writ petition against the chairman’s tenure in the court. The court gave the verdict that no one can hold his/her position as a chairman for more than two tenure. Thus, the bank appointed Poudel as the new chairman.

Similarly, Amrit Charan Shrestha has been appointed as CEO of the bank for the next four years. The board of directors meeting of the bank held on April 17 appointed Poudel and Shrestha as chairman and CEO of the bank.

According to the bank, the newly appointed CEO Shrestha will take over his responsibility from May 28. Previously, Shrestha was CEO of NCC Bank.
