NAC bags ISAGO Certificate

July 5: The national flag carrier - Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) - has for the first time obtained IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) Certificate.

NAC received this certificate of international standard for its outstanding ground-handling performance.

This achievement will further help enhance the organization’s business, claimed Rabindra Shrestha, spokesperson of NAC.

ISAGO certifies the airlines companies that guarantee safer ground operations.

International Air Transport Association (IATA) awarded the certificate to NAC for its ground service being provided at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

IATA presented the certificate to NAC a few months ago and its validity period is for two years informed Shailesh Kansakar, assistant spokesman of NAC.

NAC currently employs more than 900 staffers at TIA in various departments such as ground-handling, engineering, cash, flight safety and quality control.
