July 6: Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said that the date for Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s state visit to India will be fixed soon after discussions between the embassies of the two countries.
DPM Mahara told the Legislature Parliament that he discussed about the prime minister’s visit as well as other contemporary political issues with his Indian counterpart during his recent India visit. Minister Mahara said he also discussed about the impact of Indian government’s goods and service tax on the Nepali market and solution for the demonetized Indian Currency that Nepalis have been holding.
He added that there had been discussion about import of cooking gas bullets and the upcoming meeting of BIMSTEC scheduled to take place in Nepal.
