Banks to Remain Open this Saturday

July 13: Nepal Rastra Bank has instructed all the banks and financial institutions (BFIs) to remain open this Saturday. The central bank issued such circular as it is the last day of the current fiscal year. NRB took such decision to ease revenue collection. It is mandatory for all BFIs to close their accounts at the end of each fiscal year. As per the instructions of the Financial Comptroller General’s Office, arrangements have been made for revenue collection through IPS till 4 pm on July 15. Besides that, the central bank will accept cheques related to revenue and settle all arrears on the same day.
