7 officials suspended for importing stolen vehicles

July 21: Seven officials including the acting chief of Mahakali Zonal Transportation Office have been suspended for their alleged involvement in importing and operating stolen vehicles from India. A secretary-level meeting of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport took a decision to this effect.

Spokesperson at the Department of Transportation Management Dr Tokraj Pandey informed that the ministry has suspended acting chief of Mahakali Zonal Transportation Office Hemant Bahadur Singh.

Other employees involved in the scam are mechanical engineer Deepak Thapa along with Narendra Raj Joshi, Taradutta Bhatta, Mahadev Bhatta, Keshab Dutta Badu and Shyam Raj Ojha.
