ATR Added to Yeti's Fleet

July 23: Yeti Airlines has added an ATR 72-500 for the first time to its fleet. The airlines company unveiled the plane at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu on July 22. The 72-seater aircraft has been bought at a cost of Rs 1 billion.

The aircraft manufactured by ATR company of France arrived in Kathmandu from Singapore. The aircraft was purchased from Nordic Aviation Capital of Singapore, informed the airlines Manager Bhim Raj Rai. “This airplane will fly to Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj and Bhadrapur after a week,” he added.

With the new ATR, Yeti Airlines now operates through a total of seven aircrafts. The other six aircrafts are 30-seater Jetstream-41. Yeti Airlines has further plans to add two more ATRs to its fleet later this year.
