Festival at Annapurna Base Camp to Promote Tourism

July 26: The newly elected people’s representatives of Annapurna Rural Municipality have decided to organize a festival at Annapurna Base Camp in October to promote tourism in the region.

According to the organizers, the festival with the slogan ‘Tourism for All’ is being organized for the development of economy, infrastructure and tourism of the entire region.

Annapurna Rural Municipality chief Yuvaraj Kunwar said promoting tourism would lead to economic prosperity. For the successful implementation of the plan, the rural municipality has formed an organizing committee under the coordination of Lalit Gurung.

Annapurna Rural Municipality is organizing the festival with the support from Annapurna Conservation Area Project, Kaski; Nepal Tourism Board’s Regional Office, Pokhara; and TAAN Regional Office, Pokhara.
