Voith Hydropower Opens New Office in Kathmandu.

July 30: Multinational hydropower company Voith Hydro has opened a new office in Kathmandu. The company started operating its branch office from July 27. Issuing a press statement, the company said that the establishment of an office in Kathmandu was aimed at fulfilling the needs of the local consumers and to provide service to them. Voith informed that it has helped in supplying 300,000 megawatts of electricity across the globe, which is one third of the total electricity production in the world. The company has been working in collaboration with Nepal since 1968. Besides electricity generation, the company has been involved in various social works.
