August 15: Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) along with Frost & Sullivan have announced to jointly organize the first edition of 2017 Nepal Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) in Kathmandu on November 14.
Issuing a press statement, Frost & Sullivan – a global management consultancy company – informed that the event will be held at Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza, Kathmandu.
The 2017 Nepal Business Excellence Awards is a platform designed to incisively assess and highlight focus areas that will assist business leaders in building sustainability in their businesses, and recognize companies who have successfully deployed sustainable and investor friendly business models, the statement said.
“The awards assessment process aims to bring out the company’s consonance of strategic goals towards business growth, its derivative organizational objectives towards enhanced competitiveness, and its operational performance towards business effectiveness,” reads the statement.
Companies from manufacturing, trading, IT/ITeS, BPO/KPO, hospitals, construction, logistics, hotels, and banking, financial services and insurance will be eligible to participate in this assessment.
The four categories of participation based on sales turnover of the companies include emerging business (with annual turnover of less than Rs 30 million), medium business (with annual turnover between Rs 30 million and Rs 250 million), large business (with annual turnover between Rs 250 million and Rs 500 million0 and mega large business (With annual turnover of more than Rs 500 million).

The qualifying companies for all categories will be evaluated by an elite jury panel comprising of members from Frost & Sullivan and CNI. The assessment will scrutinize an organization for four-core business process:
1. Business Planning (including achievement plan)
2. Strategy Alignment and Deployment (including identification of conflicting policies)
3. Organization Building/Support (including succession planning)
4. Process Management (Including prevention of recurring problem)
