August 15: Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has announced to contribute Rs 5 million in first phase as relief for the people displaced by floods and landslides. CNI said it will establish a relief fund and provide food, medicines and other essentials to the government in coordination with the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce.
CNI has also formed a task force under the leadership of its senior vice president Satish Kumar Mor to handle the coordination works effectively and to collect more funds.
CNI has also urged all of its constituent organizations and others willing to contribute for the cause to deposit relief amount in its account number 5444304011524002 of NIC Asia Bank.
Meanwhile, Hotel Associations of Nepal (HAN) has announced to contribute Rs 500,000 for relief to the flood victims. A meeting of HANon August 14 took the decision to this effect and also urged its members to contribute in rescue efforts.
