Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) had decided to provide cash and kind worth Rs 10.1 million to the people affected by the recent floods and landslides.
A meeting of the NCC on August 15 took this decision. The meeting has also formed a 23-member disaster relief committee to distribute relief materials immediately to the victims.
NCC Vice President Rajendra Malla has been appointed as the coordinator of the committee while Deepak Malhotra and Kisan Agrawal are the deputy coordinators.
The meeting also decided to take initiative to provide employment to the flood victims on priority basis.
NCC has urged those willing to help the flood victims to deposit any amount in account number 0101010006123 at Kantipath branch of Global IME Bank.
