CNI to Organize Investment Conference in Nepal

August 25: Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) informed that it will soon organize an Investment Conference in Nepal. CNI Vice President Nirvan Chaudhary made the announcement during the Nepal-India Business Forum held on August 23 in India on the occasion of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s state visit to the southern neighbour.

Chaudhary informed the forum attended by delegates of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and ASSOCHAM that the Nepal achieved a high economic growth of 7.5 percent, which was achieved only once in the past after the restoration of democracy. He expressed his belief that the prime minister’s visit would help in creating business-friendly environment between the two countries.

Members of CNI also held discussion on GST introduced recently by the Indian government. CNI also signed an agreement with PHD Chamber of India regarding promotion of trade and business between the two countries.
