More than 30 SUVs head out to Lo Manthang in an off-road expedition

November 7: With the main objective of promoting internal tourism within Nepal,  a seven day expedition – Dare to Lo Manthang – has kicked off on November 6.

The expedition organised by Imagine Nepal and sponsored by Mahindra Thar saw 75 participants and more than 30 SUV’s start their journey from Kathmandu on, reads a press statement issued by the organisers.

“Along the way, participants will be engaging in various activities in and around Lo Manthang, which includes taking a trip to the Chhosar caves in Lo Manthang, taking in live cultural performances, competing in archery competitions and taking part in many more amazing activities,” reads the statement.

Miss Nepal 2010 Sadichha Shrestha, volleyball player Sipora Gurung and photographer Kishore Kayastha are also accompanying the participants for the expedition.
