Chinese Team Completes Study of Railway Lines

November 10: A high-level Chinese delegation which had arrived Nepal to study the possibility of railway network to connect with China has given a positive feedback.

The team had arrived Nepal to study the much-awaited rail network which connects Kerung to Lumbini via Kathmandu and Pokhara. The team arrived to the capital on Tuesday.

The team monitored the site from Tuesday to Thursday. The team was led by Zheng Jian, vice minister of National Railway Administration of the People's Republic of China.

According to the spokesperson of the Department of Railways, Prakash Bhakta Upadhyay, the site has been studied for the first time, which is a very positive sign for the construction of railway in the country.   

 

“The Chinese team is very positive and let’s hope everything goes well. The country is in election mood right now, so everything will be done after the election is over,” he added.
