SCB Nepal gets New Chairman

December 11: Jitendra Arora has been appointed as the Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), Nepal. The 361st board meeting of the bank on Friday, December 8, took a decision to this effect. He took oath of office and secrecy in the presence of Nepal Rastra Bank’s Governor Chiranjivi Nepal. The newly-appointed Chairman Arora is currently also SCB’s regional head of commercial banking in ASEAN and South Asia.

Arora is based in Singapore and has been leading the business management of commercial banking of SCB in countries including India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Nepal. He has been in the banking sector since 2001 and he had completed his Masters Degree in finance from the Institute of Management Technology, India.
