FCAN Delegation Meets with Finance Minister

January 11:  A delegation of Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN)  held a meeting with Finance Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki on Wednesday, January 11 to discuss about the general problems faced by the construction entrepreneurs.

The delegation led by FCAN President Bishnu Bhai Shrestha apprised the minister about the problems faced by the entrepreneurs due to blocked payment and price increment of construction materials and asked the minister’s cooperation in solving their problem.

The delegation drew the attention of the minister Karki towards the increase in prices of fuel, iron and other raw materials as well as cement, aggregates and sand in the past few weeks.

FCAN President Shrestha appealed to the minister to make necessary efforts to reduce the price hike.

Likewise, the meeting informed the minister that the contractors are facing crisis despite completing their work due to the delay in release of budget.
