7th Nepal International Trade Fair to kick off on March 8

January 24: The 7th international Trade Fair is set to kick off in Kathmandu from March 8. The five-day event, which is being organised by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), will conclude on March 12.

FNCCI organises trade fair every year as a calendar event. The fair is supported by the Government of Nepal; the Ministry of Commerce; Trade and Export Promotion Centre; Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal. According to FNCCI, reservation for the stalls was made open from Tuesday, January 23.

Traders will showcase national and international products at 300 stalls. Organisers claim that the program will have participants from South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries, China, Thailand and Malaysia.

According to FNCCI, the fair is aimed at making direct interaction between international traders possible.

The fair will feature different stalls of handicrafts, tourism enterprises, information technology, agricultural products as well as stalls from sectors including energy, construction, education, medicine, iron and steel and automobiles.

Around 200,000 observers are expected to visit the fair, according to the organisers. FNCCI informed that more than 100,000 national and international visitors attended the last edition of the fair in which products and services were displayed through 340 stalls.
