January 26: Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet stressed on the need to make the country technology friendly to attain political stability and economic prosperity.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 24th Subisu CAN Infotech 2018 in the capital on Thursday, January 25, Minister Basnet said that economic prosperity of the country is impossible unless the information and communication technology (ICT) sector is kept in priority.
The biggest ICT fair of the country is being organised by Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) at Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu. The expo, which ends on Tuesday, has a total of 222 stalls of different companies. The stalls in the expo are showcasing various information, communication and technology products and services.
The entry fee for students is Rs 50, while the general visitors have to pay Rs 100.
